Changing Landscapes Conference
6-7 Nov 2026

Now in its third conference, Familial Breast & Ovarian Cancer: Changing Landscapes brings the professional community together in Aotearoa New Zealand at a time of rapid change in familial breast and ovarian cancer care. Plus we have a special day for our peer support community to connect.

As genetic knowledge, testing pathways, and treatment options continue to evolve at pace, the conference offers a shared space to explore emerging evidence, challenge established practice, and envision better, more equitable care for individuals and families affected by inherited cancer risk.

We look forward to sharing more soon, meantime save the dates of Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November in Christchurch!

A community for those impacted by familial cancer

Gift of Knowledge, now part of NZFBOC, focuses on peer connection and support. Through online communities and shared experiences, GOK helps people connect with others who truly understand the journey. Together, we’re building stronger support networks for families across Aotearoa.

Personal stories

Our Resources section contains information about genetics and BRCA, helpful external links and personal stories. In the Video Hub, meet two families impacted by BRCA. They bravely share their stories of loss, life-saving choices, and how familial cancer has affected their whānau through multiple generations. Click here to see all videos.
